Introducing RS PRO HSS straight flute thread taps, a selection of high quality and professional threading taps ideal for cutting thread (tapping) by hand or machine, into drilled holes in materials such as metal and wood.
Our range of thread taps from RS PRO are manufactured using high speed steel (HSS), providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance properties. They are available in a variety of metric sizes to suit a wide range of applications and are compatible with tools such as a tap wrench or power tool for enhanced torque and control. RS PRO taps also feature a second tap lead angle of approximately 8°, allowing for a gradual and precise thread to be cut.
