Si88xx4 Quad Isolator Evaluation Kit
The Si88xxxISO-KIT from Silicon Labs allows users to evaluate the functionality and performance of the Si88xx family of digital isolators. The evaluation board is equipped with the Si88241ED-IS quad channel isolator and provides an isolated 3-5 Vdc output at up to 2W from a 3-5 Vdc input. Convenient test points are included on the board to measure and observe time-varying currents and voltages, allowing calculation of efficiency and load/line regulation.

The Silicon Labs broad range of Digital Isolation products offers significant improvements over older isolation technologies such as opto-couplers. They demonstrate lower power consumption, greater reliability and higher performance, and are generally smaller in size and lower in cost. These CMOS-based devices exhibit stable operating characteristics over a wide temperature range and do not suffer from the lifespan limitations of opto-coupled devices.
