This cable gland locknut secures cable glands where only a plain pass‑through hole exists, improving resistance to vibrational loosening when a gland is fitted into a threaded opening. Moulded from glass‑fibre reinforced polyamide, it is used as an accessory in industrial cable routing and panel installations and is available in a grey finish compatible with standard SKINTOP cable gland systems.
The glass‑fibre reinforcement increases tensile and shear resistance compared with unfilled polyamide, improving load distribution at the thread interface.
The product is supplied in a silver‑grey shade that matches common enclosure finishes to simplify Visual identification during assembly.
The locknuts material has UL recognition, and it should be used with UL‑approved polyamide glands to meet the same approval pathway.
The hex profile permits firm wrench torque application, reducing the likelihood of loosening under cyclical vibration without relying on adhesive methods.
UL approval only when used with the UL-approved SKINTOP® polyamide cable glands
