This photoelectric sensor detects objects using background suppression and is designed for panel mounting in industrial automation environments. It uses an LED light source and a PNP switching output to provide fast object sensing for production, handling and inspection tasks while operating across typical factory temperature ranges.
It functions reliably between -25°C and 55°C, allowing deployment in chilled storage interfaces and warmed production zones.
It complies with DIN EN 62471 and carries EU, UK and ACMA approvals, and meets RoHS restrictions for hazardous substances.
The unit is intended for panel mounting and connects via a 4-pin M8 terminal, so panel cut-outs and compatible cable assemblies should be specified in advance.
It is supplied without hazardous-area certification and should not be used where such approval is required.
For retro-reflective sensors a suitable reflector is required.
